OUR HOTEL

A unique

and endless story

The history of Il Portico is closely linked to the Sanctuary and the Miracle of the Holy Pietà. It was established in 1989 through the renovation of the Pilgrim’s House, which was originally built in the 1970s to accommodate the numerous faithful visiting the Sanctuary.

Several features that still remain in Il Portico today recall its origins: the recently restored large paintings from the early 18th century that depict the Miracle’s story, the vaulted ceilings of the dining room converted from the Sanctuary’s cellars, the stained glass windows in the living room that offer an unparalleled view, the understated lines, spacious common areas, and the sound of bells that mark the passing of time throughout the day.

Our restaurant offers the best of Italian cuisine and more. The lakeside terrace is appreciated for its discreet and tranquil location, often refreshed at noon by the Winter breeze and in the evening by the Tramontana breeze. Discover more
